Автор робить аналіз досліджень вітчизняних та зарубіжних науковців, які вивчали цю проблему. Через складність когнітивних процесів та недостатнє дослідження певних аспектів, предмет дослідження не втрачає актуальності та потребує подальшого вивчення. Метою цього дослідження є проаналізувати когнітивні процеси під час перекладу, а також те, наскільки ефективно вони використовуються у підготовці майбутніх перекладачів. Автор дотримується точки зору, що, переклад базується на повністю автоматизованих когнітивних процесах. У статті аналізується термінологія, пов’язана із когнітивними процесами перекладу та когнітивними техніками опрацювання тексту. Розглядаються різні моделі когнітивного опрацювання тексту. У статті розмежовуються когнітивні процеси під час усного і письмового перекладу, а також даються рекомендації щодо застосування когнітивних технік у навчальному процесі, пропонуються варіанти вправ для формування навичок когнітивної обробки тексту. Запропоновані вправи повинні розвинути у студентів уважність до граматичних, синтаксичних і лексичних розбіжностей у різних мовах. Автор статті робить висновок про те, що окрім мовної компетенції, світоглядних та лінгвокраїнознавчих знань, перекладач повинен володіти різними техніками опрацювання усних і письмових текстів та застосовувати їх залежно від ситуації, поставленого завдання і типу перекладу.The study considers the issues of cognitive processes in translation and in the training of translators. The author analyses the Ukrainian and foreign researchers’ works that have raised the problem. Due to the complexity of cognitive processes and insufficient study of some aspects, the problem of cognitive processes in translation remains relevant and needs further research. The aim of this research is to analyze the cognitive processes in translation and their efficiency in training of translators. The author states that translation is based on the automated cognitive processes. The article analyses the terminology associated with the cognitive processes of translation and the cognitive techniques of text analysis. Different ways and approaches of text analysis are reviewed in the article. The author distinguishes the cognitive processes of interpreting and written translation, gives the recommendations of the cognitive techniques application in the teaching process, suggests some exercises to form the skills of cognitive word processing. Such types of exercises are aimed to develop students’ skills to perceive the grammatical, synthetic and lexical divergences in different languages.
