Значна увага приділяється реалізації мовної системи в професійній сфері у лексико-термінологічному, морфологічно-синтаксичному та текстовому аспектах. Висвітлюються особливості навчання англійської як мови фаху.The article deals with the aspects of teaching foreign language to non-linguistic students in higher educational establishments. English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is considered to be one of the basic means of professionally-oriented training. The author outlines essential components of language structure. Terminology is described as the study of terms and their use, which enables people in a particular industry to communicate and interact clearly. Professional and scientific terms become fundamental elements of problem-oriented dialogues and scientific texts which require special attention and educational approaches. The author suggests a set of helpful examples based on communicative approach as a key element in the process of specific vocabulary learning. Specific morphological and syntactical structures are typical for ESP (abundance of Passive Voice, ’of’ and ’for’ prepositions, ’-ing’ form, Present Tenses, etc.). All these aspects call for thorough analyses and selection of proper educational material, tasks and exercises.
