Проведений аналіз абсолютних показників міграції по території Хмельницької області в розрізі «село-місто». Визначені основні чинники територіальної мобільності населення. Обґрунтовано, що важливою умовою сталого розвитку територій є створення та збереження якісного середовища життєдіяльності людини, що і має стати одним із основних розділів довгострокової стратегії розвитку України та її регіонів в сучасних умовах.The article deals with the essence and types of population migration. The analysis of absolute indicators of migration on the territory of Khmelnytsky region in the section "village-city" was conducted. The main factors of territorial mobility of the population are determined. Ukrainian migration statistics, based on data on changes in the place of registration of citizens, contains information on different types of migration. According to these data, in-country population redistribution is dominated by intraregional migration. However, in most cases, they are carried out in the direction of "village-city", which today is mainly related to the search for a better month of employment that a person may have in the city; moving to study, since most of the educational institutions are concentrated in cities, as well as with significant differences in socio-economic conditions. The intra-regional migrations of the Khmelnytsky Oblast population play a significant role in the economic development of the region. The population moves from urban settlements to villages and from rural areas to cities, in addition, people are "attracted" to the developmental poles. Private territories - poles of development - receive additional labor resources, improve (rejuvenate) the age structure of the population, while in others (migration donors) there is a general decrease in the number and aging of the population. The study of territorial mobility of the population is relevant, requires theoretical, methodological and practical solutions, the search for new approaches to the construction of migration management mechanisms.
