The article is devoted to the study of theoretical and methodological foundations for the formation of the financial security level of the economic entities. The essence of the concept of financial security of the economic entities is determined. The mission, the goal and the objectives of the financial security of economic entities are formed. The requirements for the formation, content and components of the given concept are clarified. The author’s developed concept has allowed to form the system of financial security of the economic entities, which should be the basis for building a financial security mechanism for the economic entities. It is proved that the financial security system of the economic entities is the multilevel structure of the basic elements that are in a certain hierarchy. The interconnection of structural components of the financial security system of economic entities is investigated.
