    Analytical study of a hydraulic drive model for a municipal waste container overturning mechanism in a garbage truck considering the wear of friction pairs

    The article is dedicated to the analytical study of the improved mathematical model of the hydraulic drive of the mechanism for overturning a container with municipal solid waste into a garbage truck, taking into account the wear of friction pairs. As a result of the analysis of the performed numerical studies of the nonlinear improved mathematical model of the hydraulic drive of the mechanism for overturning a container with municipal solid waste into a garbage truck, taking into account the wear of friction pairs, a linearized version of this model was developed in the form of a system of ordinary linear differential equations of the 2nd order. To carry out design calculations of new garbage truck designs, approximate analytical dependencies were obtained for the pressure in the hydraulic cylinder pressure line, the angular velocity and the angle of container overturning on time were obtained based on the proposed linearized mathematical model of the hydraulic drive of the container overturning mechanism in the technological operation of loading municipal solid waste into the garbage truck during the 1st phase – overturning the container to the equilibrium position, taking into account the wear of friction pairs. A regression equation was obtained, which allows to approximately determine the duration of the 1st phase – the rotation of the container to the equilibrium position during its overturning in the technological operation of loading municipal solid waste into a garbage truck, taking into account the wear of friction pairs, which can be used during design calculations of new garbage truck designs taking into account the wear of working bodies without the need to study the nonlinear mathematical model of the drive, as well as during optimization of the main parameters of the hydraulic drive. It was established that the analytical study of the linearized improved mathematical model of the hydraulic drive of the mechanism for loading municipal solid waste into a garbage truck, taking into account the wear of friction pairs during the 2nd phase – pouring waste from the container into the body of the garbage truck requires further research.

    Dependence of wear intensity on the coating material of the hydraulic cylinder of the garbage truck’s sealing plate

    The article is dedicated to the study of the influence of the coating material on the wear rate of the hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the garbage truck’s sealing plate. By means of a first-order planning of experiment with first-order interaction effects using the Box-Wilson method, an adequate dependence of the wear rate of the hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the garbage truck’s sealing plate on the coating material was determined. It is established that according to the Student’s criterion, among the studied factors of influence, the intensity of wear of the hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the garbage truck’s sealing plate is most affected by the iron content in the coating, the least – by the chromium content, and the nickel content affects only indirectly in interaction with the iron content. The response surfaces of the goal function – the intensity of wear of the hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the garbage truck’s sealing plate and their two-dimensional sections in the planes of the influence parameters are shown, which allow to clearly illustrate the specified dependence of this goal function on individual influence factors. The expediency of conducting further research to determine ways to further improve the wear resistance of the hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the garbage truck’s sealing plate is shown

    Dependence of wear of friction pairs of the mechanism for loading solid household waste into a garbage truck on the characteristics of antifriction materials

    The article is dedicated to the establishment a regression dependence of wear of friction units of the mechanism of loading a garbage truck on the properties of antifriction materials. By using a first-order planning of experiment with first-order interaction effects using the Box-Wilson method, an appropriate regularity of wear of friction units of the garbage truck loading mechanism on the properties of antifriction materials has been determined. It is established that, according to the Student's criterion, among the studied factors of influence, the wear of friction units of the garbage truck loading mechanism is most influenced by the pressure in the friction zone, and the least – by the Brinell hardness of the antifriction material. The response surfaces of the objective function – wear of friction units of the garbage truck loading mechanism and their two-dimensional cross-sections in the planes of the influence parameters are shown, which allow to clearly illustrate the specified dependence of this objective function on individual influence parameters. It has been established that an increase in the pressure in the friction zone and sliding speed by 60% leads to an increase in the wear of friction units of the garbage truck loading mechanism during reverse motion by 6.3...34%, depending on the properties of antifriction materials. The expediency of conducting further research to determine ways to further improve the wear resistance of friction units of the mechanism for loading solid household waste into a garbage truck has been shown.

    Determination of the dependencies of the wear influence of the cylindrical brush on the operational characteristics of the garbage truck’s mounted sweeping equipment

    The article is dedicated to the establishment of dependencies of the influence of the wear of the cylindrical brush on the operational characteristics of the mounted sweeping equipment of the garbage truck. By using the planning of the second-order experiment with the first-order interaction effects, using the Box-Wilson method, the adequate dependencies of the influence of the wear of the cylindrical brush on the performance characteristics of the mounted sweeping equipment of the garbage truck were determined. It was established that, according to the Student's criterion, among the investigated factors of influence, the wear of the cylindrical brush has the greatest effect on the deformation of the cylindrical brush, and the width of the contact spot has the least influence. The required pressing force of the cylindrical brush is most affected by the width of the contact spot, and the least by the wear of the cylindrical brush. The response surfaces of the target functions are shown – the amount of deformation and the required pressing force of the cylindrical brush and their two-dimensional cross-sections in the planes of influence parameters, which make it possible to visually illustrate the specified dependences of target function data on individual influence parameters. It was established that the wear of the cylindrical brush of 50% of cases leads to an increase in the deformation of the cylindrical brush by 1.3 times, and the necessary force of pressing of the cylindrical brush – by 3.1...3.6 times, depending on the width of the contact spot. It is shown the expediency of conducting further researches of the effect of antifriction materials on the wear of the friction pairs of the mounted sweeping equipment of the garbage truck.

    Determination of the regularity of the rate of wear of the working hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the sealing plate of the garbage truck from the pressing force

    The article is dedicated to the study of the influence of the pressing force on the wear resistance of the working hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the sealing plate of the garbage truck. The usage of a mathematical dependencies and appropriate software programs for regression analysis made it possible to determine the exponential regularity of the change in the rate of wear of the working hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the sealing plate of the garbage truck depending on the pressing force. A graphical dependence of the change in the rate of wear of the working hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the compacting plate of the garbage truck on the pressing force was made up, which confirmed the sufficient convergence of the obtained regularity. Graph of the influence of pressing force on wear rate of working hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the compacting plate of the garbage truck demonstrates the expediency of its increase. It was established that for the garbage truck of Ukrainian production of serial model KO-436, the rate of wear of the working hydraulic cylinder of the mechanism of the sealing plate of the garbage truck according to the obtained regularity will be 0.257 μm/h. The expediency of conducting additional studies to determine further ways to increase the wear resistance of the working hydraulic cylinder of the sealing plate mechanism of the garbage truck has been established.

    Dynamics of wear and tear of garbage trucks in Khmelnytskyi region

    The article is dedicated to determining the regularity that describes the dynamics of wear and tear of garbage trucks at the regional level, using the example of the Khmelnytskyi region. During 2015-2020, wear and tear of the fleet of garbage trucks of municipal enterprises of Khmelnytskyi region decreased from 63% to 59%. Using the method of regression analysis, an adequate power law was determined that describes the dynamics of wear and tear of garbage trucks in the region in 2015-2020. To perform the study, the method of regression analysis of the results of one-factor experiments and other paired laws was used by choosing a more adequate type of function from the 16 most common options according to the criterion maximum correlation coefficient. The regression was carried out on the basis of linearizing transformations, which allow reducing the non-linear regularity to a linear one. A graphical dependence describing the dynamics of wear and tear of garbage trucks was constructed, and the sufficient convergence of the obtained regularity was confirmed. According to forecasts the wear and tear of garbage trucks in the Khmelnytskyi region by 2030, at the current rate of decline, will decrease to 51.9%. The expediency of conducting further studies to determine the influence of factors on the dynamics of wear and tear of garbage trucks has been revealed.

    Establishing the regularity of wear of a cylindrical brush of the mounted sweeping equipment of a garbage truck depending on its rotation frequency

    The article is dedicated to establishing the regularity of wear of a cylindrical brush of the mounted sweeping equipment of a garbage truck depending on its rotation frequency. Using the mathematical dependencies and corresponding regression analysis programs, it was established a power law of change in the wear of the cylindrical brush of the garbage truck's mounted sweeping equipment on the frequency of its rotation, which can be used to build a mathematical model of the hydraulic drive of the improved mounted sweeping equipment of a garbage truck, taking into account the wear of its working bodies. A graphical dependence of the change in the wear of the cylindrical brush of the garbage truck's mounted sweeping equipment on its rotation frequency was plotted, which confirmed the sufficient convergence of the obtained regularity. The graph of the influence of the rotation frequency of the cylindrical brush of the garbage truck's mounted sweeping equipment on its wear demonstrates the expediency of its reduction. It has been established that for a Ukrainian-made sweeping machine of the serial model KO-713-01, which is equipped with a cylindrical brush with a rotation speed of 3200 rpm, its wear according to the obtained regularity will reach 86.5 mm. It was found that reducing the rotational speed of the cylindrical brush of the garbage truck's mounted sweeping equipment from 62 sec-1 (3700 rpm) to 26...38 sec-1 (1550...2250 rpm) leads to a decrease in its wear by 2 orders of magnitude. The expediency of conducting additional research to identify further ways to improve the wear resistance of the cylindrical brush of the garbage truck's mounted sweeping equipment has been established.

    Improved mathematical model of the hydraulic drive of the garbage truck’s sealing plate mechanism taking into account the wear of its hydraulic cylinder

    This article is dedicated to the improvement of the mathematical model of the hydraulic drive of the mechanism of the garbage truck’s sealing plate, taking into account the wear of the hydraulic cylinder. An improved nonlinear mathematical model of the operation of the hydraulic drive of the garbage truck’s sealing plate mechanism is proposed, which takes into account the wear of the hydraulic cylinder and allows to numerically study the dynamics of the drive and determine that taking into account the wear of the hydraulic cylinder significantly affects the main parameters of the hydraulic drive of the garbage truck’s sealing plate mechanism. This study of the mathematical model was carried out using the fourth-order numerical Runge-Kutta-Felberg method with an adaptive integration step. Graphical dependencies were plotted to compare changes in the main parameters of the hydraulic drive of the garbage truck’s sealing plate mechanism without taking into account the wear of the hydraulic cylinder and with taking into account the wear. It has been established that the creation of a linearized mathematical model of the hydraulic drive of the garbage truck’s sealing plate mechanism, taking into account the wear of the hydraulic cylinder, and its analytical solution in order to obtain dependencies for an improved methodology for engineering calculations require further research.

    Regression analysis of the influence of auger surface hardness on its wear during dehydration of solid waste in a garbage truck

    The article is dedicated to the study of the influence of the surface hardness of the auger on its wear during dehydration of solid waste in the garbage truck. Using the method of regression analysis, the logarithmic dependencies of auger wear depending on the hardness of its surface for different values of the friction path are determined. Graphical dependences of augur wear depending on the hardness of its surface for different values of the friction path are made up, and it confirms sufficient convergence of the obtained dependencies. Carried out additional regression analysis allowed to obtain the dependence of wear of the auger depending on the hardness of its surface and the friction path, which showed that during two weeks of operation and wear of the auger during dehydration of solid waste in the garbage truck increasing the surface hardness of the auger from 2310 MPa to 10050 MPa reducing the rate of growth of energy consumption of solid waste dehydration from 16.7 % to 1.5 %, and, consequently, to reduce the cost of the process of their dehydration in the garbage truck. The graphical dependence of the reduction of energy consumption of dehydration of solid household waste due to the increase in the hardness of the auger surface during its two-week wear is presented. It was established the expediency of further research to determine the rational material of the auger and ways to increase its wear resistance.

    Research of the impact of carbon content in the auger material on its wear during dehydration in the solid waste garbage truck through regression analysis

    The article is devoted to the study of the influence of carbon content in the auger material on its wear during dehydration of municipal solid waste in the garbage truck. Using the method of regression analysis, the hyperbolic regularities of screw wear depending on the carbon content in its material for different values of the friction path were determined. Graphical dependences of auger wear were constructed, depending on the carbon content in its material for different values of the friction path, which confirms the sufficient convergence of the obtained patterns. Carrying out additional regression analysis allowed to obtain the pattern of wear of the auger, depending on the carbon content in its material and the friction path, which established the following. After two weeks of operation and wear of the auger during the dewatering of solid waste in the garbage truck, increasing the carbon content in the auger material from 0.2% to 2.1% leads to a decrease in the energy intensity of dehydration of solid waste from 19.6% to 4.4 %, which makes the process of dehydration in the garbage truck cheaper. The graphical dependence of the reduction of energy consumption of dehydration of solid household waste due to increased carbon content in the auger material during its two-week wear is presented. The practicality of further research is to determine the rational material of the auger and ways to increase its wear resistance.

    The influence of alloying with manganese and chromium of steel hardened and tempered auger on its relative wear resistance during dehydration in a municipal solid waste truck

    The article is dedicated to the study of the influence of alloying with manganese and chromium followed by hardening and tempering of the auger on its wear resistance during the dehydration of municipal solid waste truck. The use of a mathematical apparatus and appropriate regression analysis programs made it possible to determine the dependence of the wear resistance of the auger on the content of manganese and chromium in the steel of the auger for the case of its quenching and tempering. Constructed graphical dependences of relative wear resistance with the indicated alloying and heat treatment of the screw revealed a significant influence of the concentration of manganese and chromium in steel, sufficient convergence of the obtained patterns was confirmed. It was established that after operation and wear on the path s = 56850 m during the dehydration of solid waste in a garbage truck, an increase in the manganese content in the steel of the heat-treated screw from 0.32% to 1.8% leads to a decrease in energy intensity by 10 kWh/tons, and an increase chromium content in screw steel after similar heat treatm ent from 0% to 6% leads to a decrease in energy consumption by 11.5 kWh/tons and to a reduction in the cost of the solid waste dehydration process in the garbage truck. It was determined that tempering the chromium-manganese screw steel after its hardening allows reducing energy consumption by 1.26...2.56 kWh/tons , depending on the chromium content. The expediency of conducting further research on determining the rational composition and structural state of t he auger material and ways to increase its wear resistance has been revealed.

    The influence of auger wear on the parameters of the dehydration process of solid waste in the garbage truck

    The article is dedicated to the study of the influence of auger wear on the parameters of the dehydration process of municipal solid waste in the garbage truck. An improved mathematical model of the drive operation of dehydration of solid waste in the garbage truck is proposed, which takes into account the wear of the auger and allowed to numerically determine the dynamics of the drive during start-up. It was also established that increasing wear of the auger, the pressure of the working fluid at the inlet of the hydraulic motor rises, and the angular velocity and speed of the auger is significantly reduced. The research of this mathematical model was carried out using the numerical Runge-Kutta-Felberg method of the 4th order with a variable integration step. By means of the method of regression analysis, the power dependencies of the change of nominal values of pressures at the inlet of the hydraulic motor, angular velocity and speed of rotation of the auger from the value of its wear are determined. The last-mentioned dependence defines the detuning from the optimal speed of the auger during its wear and is used to determine the energy consumption of dehydration of solid waste, taking into account the wear of the auger. It is established that the wear of the auger by 1000 m leads to an increase in the energy consumption of dehydration of solid waste by 11.6%, and, therefore, also leads to an increase of the cost of the process of their dehydration in the garbage truck. It was also established the expediency of further research to determine the appropriate material of the auger and the ways to increase its wear resistance.

    The influence of hinges wear on the dynamic load of the articulated boom of a garbage truck’s manipulator

    The article is dedicated to establishing the relationship between the maximum impact dynamic stresses in the most loaded section of the garbage truck manipulator boom and the wear of the manipulator's hinge and its load level. By utilizing a first-order experimental design with first-order interaction effects using the Box-Wilson method, an adequate dependence of maximum impact dynamic stresses in the most loaded section of the manipulator boom on the wear of the manipulator’s hinge and its load level was determined. It has been found that, according to the Student’s criterion, among the investigated influencing factors, hinge wear has the most significant impact on the maximum impact dynamic stresses in the most loaded section of the manipulator boom, while its load level has the least impact. The response surface of the objective function is shown – the maximum impact dynamic stresses in the most loaded section of the manipulator boom and their two-dimensional sections in the planes of the impact parameters, which allows to visually illustrate the specified dependence of this objective function on individual impact parameters. It was established that the wear of the hinge by 1000 μm leads to an increase in the maximum impact dynamic stresses in the most loaded cross-section of the boom of the garbage truck manipulator by 2.6...4 times, depending on the level of its load. The expediency of conducting further studies of the effect of antifriction materials on the wear of the friction pairs of the mechanism for loading municipal solid waste into the garbage truck is shown.

    The influence of the alloying of the auger by the chromium on its wear during dehydration process of municipal solid waste in the garbage truck

    The article is dedicated to the study of the influence of the alloying of the auger by the chromium on its wear during dehydration of solid waste in the garbage truck. Using the method of regression analysis, the hyperbolical dependencies of auger wear depending on the chromium content in its hardened steel for different values of the friction path are determined. Graphical dependences of augur wear depending on the chromium content in its hardened material as a function of the friction path are made up, and it confirms sufficient convergence of the obtained dependencies. Carried out additional regression analysis allowed to determine that that during two weeks of operation of the auger during dehydration of solid waste in the garbage truck increasing of the chromium content in its hardened material from 0.25% to 12% reducing the speed of the wearing and energy consumption of solid waste dehydration from 12.2% to 3.1%, and, consequently, to reduce the cost of the process of their dehydration in the garbage truck. It is shown the graphical dependence of the reduction of energy consumption of dehydration of solid household waste by the hardened auger due to its alloying by the chromium. It was established the expediency of further research to determine the rational content and structural state of the material of the auger and the ways to increase its wear resistance.

    The influence of the chemical composition of the hardened auger on its wear during dehydration process of municipal solid waste in the garbage truck

    The article is dedicated to the study of the influence of the chemical composition of the hardened auger by the chromium on its wear during dehydration of solid waste in the garbage truck. Using the rotatable central composition planning of the experiment of the second order by means of the Box-Wilson method, the dependencies of auger wear depending on the chemical composition of the hardened steel and friction path are determined. The responce surfaces of the objective functions are shown – the wearing of the hardened steel and energy consumption of the dehydration process by the hardened auger press of the mixed municipal solid waste according to the influense parameters. It is established that on the friction path s = 56850 m, during the dehydration process of solid waste in the garbage truck, the simultanuous incresing of the carbon content from 0.45% to 2.1%, and the chromium content – from 0.25% to 12%, at the optimum content of the manganese as 0.527% in the hardened steel of the auger, enable to decrease the energy consumption of the dehydration process of solid waste by 25.7 kWh/tons, or 10.7%. Therefore, it tends to cheaper the process of dehydration in the garbage truck. It is established the expediency of further research for the determination the rational composition and the structural state of the auger material and the ways to increase its wear resistance.
