    Strategic directions of the national policy in the context of the asymmetry of the regional development

    The purpose of the study was to substantiate strategic directions to overcome the asymmetry of regional development. The methodological basis involved a systemic approach that allowed, in turn, a holistic approach to clarify the linkages and patterns of regional development asymmetry and justify strategic measures to overcome it. In the results, it was found that the region’s development strategy is a set of interrelated measures aimed at ensuring the principles of sustainable development, improving the quality of life, creating conditions for economic growth, ensuring the efficient use of resources, improving regional self-sufficiency, economic security and competitiveness of the region. It is argued that the region’s development strategies should be based on: a) associative approach to the formation of goals and tools to achieve them; b) efficiency in the use of resources; c) participation of a wide range of stakeholders in the substantiation of strategic development directions; d) overall coordination of planning and control processes for the achievement of the set objectives. It is concluded that it is proven that the strategic directions of overcoming the asymmetry of regional development must be led by strategic thinking.

    Theories of economics and the philosophy of altruism in “twinning” the egyptian tourism and textile industries

    Theories of economics and the philosophy of altruism in “twinning” this paper studies the endogenous formation of interfiling altruism. The theory suggests that incentive to foster tourism and textile industries is positively related to efficiency gains from more human capital investment in the more gifted tourism and textile industries. The empirical analyses explore the plausibly exogenous within-twin difference in for the development of Matrouh governorate, Egypt, consistent with the theory, the estimation results show that a larger difference in tourism and textile industries. Leads to more intensive you win-to to be-win practice to tourism and textile industries and that when such practice is more intensive, the heavier tourism and textile industries obtains more investment relative to the other tourism and others industries as the philosophy of altruism in “twinning”

    В статті визначено основні етапи формування громадянського суспільства та охарактеризовано особливості цифрової епохи як сучасного етапу його формування. Показано взаємозв’язок громадянського суспільства з розвитком демократичних засад, виділено основні принципи та напрями демократизації. Охарактеризовано ключові аспекти взаємозв’язку громадянського суспільства та демократії на сучасному етапі суспільно-економічних відносин України та виділено проблемні аспекти і значущі фактори у їхньому розвитку.
