The article has been devoted to the systematization of basic scientific approaches to the definition of the essence of the bank›s credit policy. The functional model of formation and reali¬zation of the bank›s credit policy has been developed. The factors that influence the credit policy of banks have been highlighted. Areas of increase of its efficiency have been offered.
