The article examines the impact of transformations of the integration processes of world trade and the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU on the geographical and commodity structure of Ukraine's foreign trade. Under the influence of changes in world commodity markets and geopolitical processes during the last decade, a significant transformation of Ukraine's foreign trade took place both in the regional and in the commodity segment. Among the main trends is the increasing role of Europe as a trading partner, which among other reasons was due to the Association Agreement with the EU and the diversification of energy supply sources. Ukrainian exports have experienced difficult times in recent years. Ukraine lost certain markets and production capacities for traditional exports, and the world market situation was also unfavorable. However, the export of food products to European countries in the last decade has increased by almost five times, and in 2016 Ukraine has become the top 3 suppliers of agricultural products to the EU. A characteristic feature of imports from Europe in recent years is the increase in the share of energy. The European Union remains the main trade partner of Ukraine in 2016, with almost 37% of its share in Ukrainian exports (increased by 2.6% compared to 2015), imports - 44% (growth 2.8%). The second place in Ukraine's foreign trade is Russia, the third in terms of imports, China, and Egypt in export. Also, the main trading partners of Ukraine are: Turkey, Belarus, India, USA. The main trading partners of Ukraine in the EU were Germany, Poland, Italy, France, Great Britain, Hungary, the Netherlands, Spain, Czech Republic, Romania, Austria, Slovakia and Belgium. Foreign trade is important in shaping the trends of Ukraine's economic dynamics, and efforts to regulate it will continue to play a significant role in the system of measures to overcome crises and post-crisis economic recovery. The place of export in the formation of economic dynamics is significant, and therefore it should become a factor of structural adjustment in the short and medium term. For Ukraine, it is important not only to increase the presence in foreign markets, but also to optimize the structure of exports, improve quality, improve the economic and technological efficiency of export production.
