Анотація
The purpose of the study is to substantiate the essence, role, and species diversity of payment systems and to analyze the efficiency of their functionality in Ukraine based on their oversight. On the basis of the study, the author's position on the interpretation of the concept of "payment system" is formed. The author substantiates the classification principles for distinguishing different types of payment systems and systematizes them. The current state, trends in the development of payment systems and their capacity, as well as the workload of payment systems in Ukraine are analyzed. The peculiarities of cross-border transfers of currency values from Ukraine during martial law in Ukraine are outlined. The principles of oversight of payment systems aimed at identifying and preventing risky activities that threaten the interests of users of financial market infrastructures are determined.
