dc.description.abstractIn the article the essence of the balance of payments and the necessity of its formation are investigated. Actual data on the balance of payments clearly reflects the economic situation of the country, is widely used in the interests of forecasting and macroeconomic regulation, allowing international financial organizations to make a decision on providing financial assistance to the country. The basis for the compilation of the balance of payments is the principles of balancing all foreign economic operations of the country for a certain period (month, quarter, year) and a double accounting record of operations (the loan should ultimately coincide with the debit), so the imbalance in one article should be balanced by other articles. The peculiarities of the world and national balance of payments are determined. Unlike the national balance of payments, the world's balance of payments reflects either revenue only or only payments, since what is for one country is a payment for another. The main components of Ukraine's balance of payments are considered in three categories: current account, capital account and financial account. The analysis of the balance of payments of Ukraine on the basis of the 6th edition of the "Manual on Balance of Payments and International Investment Position", compiled by the IMF. The main source of the information support system for the compilation of the balance of payments is the information provided by the banks (ITRS system). For compiling the balance of payments the information of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the State fiscal service, other ministries and departments, data of international organizations, expert assessments of the National Bank of Ukraine, etc. is also used. Information from other official sources is used only to the extent that it corresponds to the concept and methodology of balance of payments statistics. The main measures of the state are defined in order to control all payments, operations of the balance of payments. The main ways of overcoming the negative effects of the global economic crisis on the balance of payments and the economy of Ukraine are determined.uk_UA
