Анотація
У статті розглянуто сутність пенсійної системи, визначено її основні елементи. Розгляд міжнародного досвіду
дозволив виділити чотири види пенсійних систем, що склались у світі, – це солідарно-накопичувальна, накопичувально-
солідарна, умовно-накопичувальна та накопичувальна системи. Зважаючи на зростання ролі накопичувального елементу у
пенсійних системах світу в статті було розглянуто досвід країн ОЕСР щодо використання та розміщення активів пенсійних
фондів у світовій економіці. Як свідчать дані у провідних країнах світу активи пенсійних фондів складають 50–100% ВВП
країни та активно використовуються для інвестування на ринках акцій та облігацій.
In the world the pension systems are diverse and often involve a number of different programmes. The taxonomy of pension systems consists of two “tiers”: a redistributive part and a savings part (mandatory or voluntary). As birth rates dropped and life expectancy increased in the most countries the pension systems were reformed to increase the importance of second “tier”. One key indicator of the scale of pension funds’ activity is the market value of assets accumulated relative to the size of the economy as measured by the GDP. It is to be noted that leading OECD countries had assets-to-GDP ratios comprise 50-100%. In most OECD countries bonds and equities remained the two most important asset classes in which pension funds invested.
