Документ A brief overview of the Chinese education system(Khmelnytskyi National University, 2021) Bidyuk, N.; Sova, M.The article offers a brief overview of the structure and main areas of development in the Chinese education system. The transition period in China’s education system can be characterized by the following slogan: “On the way to modernization, world and future”. Indeed, systemic reforms pave the way in which the state’s policy is playing a guiding role and schools and universities a leading role in the gradual search for special Chinese ways of education development. The focus of the article is mainly on the types of education in China and the conditions for obtaining education (preschool, primary, secondary, upper secondary and postgraduate education). Besides, it is crucial to consider the structure of vocational education, which is implemented in the following types: primary, secondary, higher vocational education and vocational training. Moreover, the article describes the features and forms of education for children with special needs as an important part of general education. Emphasis is placed on the level and conditions of higher and postgraduate education in China (bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral degrees). It must be noted that the article highlights several specialized projects and comprehensive plans in the field of education aimed at reforming and improving the status of education, including “Project No 211” and “Project No 985”. It also outlines the main milestones of “The Implementation Plan” and “The Plan until the Year of 2035”, as well as the measures taken to realize many other goals despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Particular attention is paid to the support provided by the Chinese government to the education system during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has affected all its levels to not allow the educational process to become radically different and manage to strengthen in the global crisis. Finally, the article addresses several controversial issues in China’s education sector, including reforming the system of education quality assessment and reformatting private education.Документ Comparative pedagogical analysis of philologists’ professional training at american and ukrainian universities(Хмельницький національний університет, 2017) Bidyuk, N.; Ikonnikova, MThe article deals with comparative and pedagogical analysis of philologists’ professional training at American and Ukrainian universities on the conceptual (philosophical and pedagogical paradigms, concepts, theories, approaches, teaching goals and strategies), organizational and pedagogical (tuition fee, training duration and modes, entry requirements) and content and technological levels. The structures of philologists’ professional training in the USA and Ukraine have been compared at the conceptual level. It has been revealed that at present, in both countries, professional training is carried out under the conditions of degree-based education taking into account competency-based, practice- and personalityoriented approaches, is based on the principles of humanization and humanitarization, learning democratization, the combination of national traditions and trends in the international educational space, is aimed at developing a modern, highly competitive specialist in philology. It has been indicated that in the system of philologists’ professional training in the United States, there is an orientation towards the subject of learning; personal and practical approaches to organizing professional training of future philologists create the most favourable conditions for developing students’ skills; however, in Ukraine these approaches are only becoming popular. It has been concluded that profound analysis of the advantages in using rational ideas of US experience will upgrade and improve the system of philologists’ professional training in Ukraine, which is a component of continuing professional education caused by the concrete socioeconomic factors of society development and is to reveal the specificity of philologists’ professional training (the content, forms, methods and pedagogical technologies), to create effective stimuli for professional and personal development of philologists.Документ Current Status and Prospects for Development of Nursing Professions in Germany(Khmelnytskyi National University, 2018) Bidyuk, N.; Oleskova, H.This article deals with the study of current status and prospects for development of nursing professions in Germany. It outlines the classification of “Healthcare Professions” and “Healthcare and Nursing Professions”, which are also identified with “Nursing Professions”. Besides, such concepts as “nursing”, “qualification level 2”, “qualification level 3”, “job vacancy duration” have been defined here. It describes more detailed the second and third qualification levels of nursing professions according to the German Classification of Occupations of 2010. In addition, the article highlights the problem of shortage of nursing personnel in Germany at the level of skilled workers and specialists. Within this paper, the authors analyze the actual data on the shortage of German nursing personnel in healthcare and nursing and geriatric nursing at the level of skilled workers and specialists. Special attention in the paper is paid to the fact that Germany as a member of International Council of Nurses and World Health Organisation, takes part in a worldwide care campaign “Nursing Now”, that was launched on 27 February 2018. It is designed for three years and aims to achieve many goals by the end of 2020: strengthen the role and potential of the nursing professions, thereby improving the health of the world’s population. Much attention in the article is paid to the description of the new German Nursing Professions Act of 17 July 2017 that will enter into force on 1 January 2020. That is why rather perspective is further studies on the peculiarities of professional training of German nursing personnel before and after 1 January 2020.Документ Literacy and essential skills development in the context of canadian corporate L&D(Khmelnytskyi National University, 2020) Bidyuk, N.; Kozlovsyi, Yu.; Kryshtanovych, M.The research is an attempt to analyze the issues of adult literacy and essential skills (LES) development in the context of corporate education in Canada. Literature review of official documents and scientific works revealed the importance of functional literacy development which encompasses literacy in its traditional understanding and other skills essential for the sustainable development of an individual, company, nation, and mankind. The important role of the private sector in this respect is undisputable. Since Canada is one of the most developed countries in the world, its experience in the area of adult LES development is assumed to be an exemplar for other countries. Because of this, the paper outlines the state of adult LES promotion and enhancement in Canada focusing on the role of the private sector in the process. Digital literacy is regarded as one of the essential skills of the 21st century, thus the experience of Canada in technical upskilling of the working population is considered as well. The research reveals that increasing investment into employees’ learning is beneficial for an individual and a company alike. Therefore, significant attention is paid to the experience of Canadian companies in this area. Cooperation of various stakeholders is crucial for addressing the issue of low levels of literacy and essential skills, thus, the paper dwells on some national programs and local initiatives facilitating cooperation between public and private sectors for advancing the literacy level of working adults in Canada. The results of the research wrap up with one of the effective approaches to developing LES training in the corporate context as recommended in the scope of Advancing Workplace Learning, a wide-scale national project dedicated to various aspects of corporate L&D in Canada.
