dc.description.abstractСтатья посвящена анализу и исследованию эффективных способов использования инновационных методов обучения английскому языку студентов инженерно-технических специальностей для достижения ними высокого уровня иноязычной профессионально-ориентированной коммуникативной компетенции. Внедрение и использование новых методик в процесс обучения способствует развитию познавательно-образовательной и эмоционально-ценностной мотивации, позволяет использовать иностранный язык в своей профессиональной деятельности на уровне международных стандартов.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article deals with the analysis and research of the effective ways to use innovative methods in the English language teaching among the students of mechanical engineering specialties and which would promote their high level of professionally oriented communicative competence. The professional profile of a modern qualified engineer should include welldeveloped communication skills and high English language proficiency to help him achieve success in the modern highly competitive society. Communication skills development is discussed in the paper, with given examples of different methods of teaching and assessment. English for specific purposes focuses the learner’s attention on the particular terminology and communication skills required in the international professional field. A course in English for Specific Purposes will enhance English language training and an engineering student’s communication skills. Context-specific vocabulary, oral communication, presentations and role-play skills are considered one of the best career enhancers and to be the single biggest factor in determining a student’s career success. Incorporating a greater emphasis on communication activities served to enhance emotional intelligence aspects, including more active participation, greater self-control and awareness, heightened motivation and a better understanding of course material. Teamwork and cooperation will help engender emotional intelligence qualities and are particularly important skills given the high level team-based environments in industry. Enhancing English language communication skills will contribute to higher emotional intelligence by targeting a delivery of oral presentations in engineering studies. Such skills as problem solving, communications, interpersonal skills, both critical and independent thinking should be fostered in engineering education. The introduction and practical usage of non-standard techniques in the English language learning and teaching promotes the development of students’ cognitiveeducational and emotionally-evaluative motivation.uk_UA
