dc.description.abstractУ статті представлено аналіз функціонального підходу до перекладу, що ґрунтується на «скопос-теорії», з погляду ефективності його застосування сучасними перекладачами. Вивчено особливості здійснення перекладацької діяльності в умовах сьогодення, визначено, які види перекладу користуються попитом на ринку послуг перекладу. Охарактеризовано, якими навичками володіє функціональний перекладач і як ці навички можуть забезпечити успішне виконання професійної перекладацької діяльності. Визначено, які види вправ у ході професійної підготовки перекладачів варто використовувати аби опанувати навички функціонального підходу до перекладу, що ґрунтується на «скопос-теорії».uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article presents an analysis of the functional approach to translation based on skopos theory from the point of view of the effectiveness of its application by modern translators. The peculiarities of the translation activity in the present conditions have been researched and the types of translation that are in demand at the translation services market have been defined. The situation at the translation services market has been studied and the trends of expanding the professional responsibilities of translators, engaging information technology, as well as the trends of the growing demands of clients and the need for not a fully equivalent translation but for a translation that meets a predetermined goal have been discovered. It has been proved that the functional approach to translation based on skopos theory helps to avoid intercultural conflicts, as it enables the translator to pay attention to the main "hot spots" during the translation process and to choose the right translation strategy. The skills of a functional translator have been characterized and the ways how these skills can ensure the successful completion of a professional translation activity have been defined. A functional translator is a specialist who is aware of the fact that in modern translators’ practice translation is required to perform a variety of communicative functions that do not always correlate with the function of the corresponding source text. To acquire the skills of a functional approach to translation based on skopos theory the future translators should have special training that includes the list of specific exercises suggested in the article.uk_UA
