dc.description.abstractУ статті розглянуто психологічні наслідки участі у бойових діях для особистості ветеранів, зокрема розвиток посттравматичного стресового розладу, тривожності, депресивних станів і психосоматичних порушень. Проаналізовано труднощі соціальної адаптації, міжособистісної взаємодії та сімейних стосунків після повернення з війни. Окреслено соціально-психологічні чинники, що впливають на процес реінтеграції ветеранів у мирне життя, а також підкреслено значення емпатії, підтримки суспільства й професійної підготовки психологів до роботи з травмованими особами. Матеріал базується на сучасних дослідженнях психічної травматизації та практичному досвіді психологічного супроводу ветеранів.
dc.description.abstractThe article examines the psychological consequences of participation in combat operations for war veterans, focusing on the complex interplay between emotional trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and psychosomatic disturbances. Veterans often experience profound psychological transformations caused by exposure to extreme stress, loss, and violence. These experiences lead not only to emotional suffering but also to difficulties in social adaptation, communication, and family relationships. The study emphasizes that the transition from military to civilian life is a critical period that requires psychological support, professional intervention, and the development of adaptive coping strategies. Particular attention is given to the manifestations of PTSD, including intrusive memories, anxiety, irritability, sleep disorders, and psychosomatic symptoms such as hypertension, gastrointestinal dysfunction, and chronic pain. These manifestations significantly reduce the quality of life and hinder successful reintegration into society. The article highlights the importance of comprehensive rehabilitation combining counseling, group therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness to restore emotional balance. The article concludes that an integrated approach combining medical, psychological, and social interventions can significantly improve the well-being of veterans and promote their successful reintegration into peaceful life. Additional diagnostic tools, such as psychological testing, clinical interviews, and structured assessment of PTSD symptoms, allow professionals to identify trauma-related disorders early. Counseling helps veterans develop resilience and selfunderstanding, while psychotherapy, especially cognitive-behavioral and trauma-focused methods, facilitates recovery, emotional stabilization, and reintegration into social life.
