dc.description.abstractУ статті представлено психологічний аналіз проблеми дослідження когнітивних стилів особистості. Визначено походження поняття «стиль», проаналізовано теоретичні підходи до визначення поняття «когнітивний стиль». Когнітивні особливості розглядаються як важливі складові індивідуальності людини, в яких природні та соціальні властивості, організм і особистість тісно взаємодіють та виступають як єдине ціле. Когнітивні стилі, здійснюючи регулятивне забезпечення психічної активності індивідуальності проявляються у всіх сферах життя людини, що й обумовлює зростаючий інтерес до цієї проблеми.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article presents a psychological analysis of the problem of studying cognitive personality styles. The origin of the concept “style” is determined, the theoretical approaches to the definition of the concept “cognitive style” are analyzed. In particular, it is noted that in modern science cognitive features are considered as important components of human personality, in which natural and social properties, organism and personality interact closely and act as a whole. Cognitive styles, providing regulatory support for mental activity of the individual are manifested in all spheres of human life, which causes a growing interest in this problem. Despite the large number of theoretical developments, there is a lack of a stable defined system of views on understanding the cognitive style of the individual, the contradiction of certain provisions in existing approaches to this problem, there is a need to generalize and systematize numerous facts accumulated in various fields of psychological science. Modern studies of cognitive styles are characterized mostly by a personality-oriented approach, because in modern society the role of man as an organizer of his own life, the price of human error and the demand for its creative potential is growing. All this significantly increases the requirements for the individual both professionally and personally. As a basis for further research, the approach of M. Kholodna was chosen, which defines cognitive styles as individually unique ways of processing information about their environment in the form of differences in perception, analysis, structuring, categorization and evaluation of what is happening. This is the unique natural intellectual resource that is inherent in every person. As a result of theoretical analysis of the concept of “cognitive style” the authors identified prospects for further research, namely – to determine the degree of influence of cognitive style of the individual on the formation of self-preserving behavior.uk_UA
