dc.description.abstractУ статті розглядаються концептуальні положення теорії конкуренції та проблеми конкуренції в національній економіці за умов глобалізації. Проаналізовано рівень конкурентоспроможності економіки України за індексом глобальної конкурентоспроможності та визначено місце країни в міжнародних рейтингах. Розглянуто шляхи покращення конкурентних позицій України на світовому ринку.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractIn the article the conceptual provisions of the theory of competition and the problem of competition in the national economy under the conditions of globalization are considered. The level of competitiveness of the Ukrainian economy according to the index of global competitiveness is analyzed and the place of the country in the international ratings is determined. The ways of improving Ukraine's competitive position on the world market are considered. The competitive position of the country in the world market is determined by the state of its economy’s competitiveness, which ensures in its development: sustainable growth of the country's population's living on the basis of constant increase of labour productivity; achievement and maintenance of such positions by national enterprises in world markets when their goods and services are successfully implemented; effective use of financial resources which accumulated in the international investment markets; innovative orientation on the modern information base; socio-economic progress and effective anti-crisis regulation. To improve competitiveness, countries need to build an economy that is less dependent on external and internal shocks; to be flexible at the level of the country, industries, enterprises and individuals; create an innovative ecosystem; to profess a human centred approach to economic development. As international rating studies have shown, to achieve a high level of competitiveness of the national economy, it is necessary to change the priority directions of economic development in the modern globalized space, to identify new factors that can provide competitive advantages in the long run. The main task for the national companies should be to preserve the existing competitiveness potential and expand production by introducing modern technologies, innovations, expanding the range of goods. It is also necessary to create a stable competitive environment based on international norms and standards, which leads to competition at the global level and provides opportunities for effective competitive behaviour of business entities. Another one of the priority directions of economic policy is the redistribution of material and financial resources for innovative directions of economic development, with the purpose of formation and development of the information society. Thus, innovations become the potential for growth of the economy and determination of its competitive priorities.uk_UA
