На прикладі оповідання «Начальник станції Фальмерайер» продемонстровано, як за допомогою іронічних висловлювань автор вміє передає всю драму людської долі, що є особливістю твору. Крім того, у статті наведена своєрідна класифікація іронії як за функцією, так і за формою.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article discusses irony, as a function-communicative feature of Joseph Root's works and style. The example of the story, «Chief of the Falmareіer Station», demonstrated how, with the help of ironic statements, the author is able to convey the entire drama of human fate, which is a feature of the work. In addition, in the article a peculiar classification of irony is given in terms of functions and form. The relevance of this study is to determine the functional and communicative peculiarities of such a linguistic phenomenon as irony, which distinguishes itself as a feature of style, as well as the communicative flexibility of the speech genre. The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the uniqueness of the use of irony, its functional and communicative features in the ironic image of the development of events of the work of art and its linguistic differences. Irony in the work may belong to individual characters; writers often use it to create character. Through irony, you can pass the author's judgment on the reality as a whole. Sometimes it is not always clear to which form the author attributes to the irony, perhaps this irony is a mixed form.uk_UA
