Анотація
Актуалізовано проблематику дослідження гендерних аспектів лідерства в практиці менеджменту з урахуванням
сучасних тенденцій розвитку суспільства. Розглянуто основні причини гендерної асиметрії у сфері управління – професійну
сегрегацію ринку та гендерні стереотипи. Охарактеризовано найбільш поширені погляди на ролі жінок, які перешкоджають
їх кар’єрному зростанню і розвитку у сфері управління. Систематизовано гендерні відмінності лідерських якостей, стилів
управління та професійного самовизначення.
The article is dedicated to the analysis of the main problems of gender discrimination of women's professional opportunities as leaders in modern conditions development of society. As you know, one of the main directions of society's development today is the process of equalizing the rights and professional opportunities of men and women in different spheres of activity, in particular in management practice. This tendency attracts more and more attention of various scholars and predetermines their enhanced research of gender aspects of leadership in management. So today we can distinguish three groups of key theories of research gender issues of leadership: the dominance of gender factor over the leader, the dominance of a leadership factor over gender and theories in which both aspects are considered equivalents. According to the results of the analysis of these theories, it was determined that gender stereotypes are the main causes of gender asymmetry. Moreover, in the course of further research another factor is outlined limiting women's professional opportunities – gender segregation of the labour market, which is horizontal and vertical. And systematized the differences of qualities, professional self-determination and management styles, which are typical for men and women leaders, characterized the main informal roles of women in the men's business world
