Анотація
Стаття присвячена дослідженню феномена малої прози В. Фолкнера як об’єкта наукового дискурсу. Простежуються та аналізуються провідні тенденції сприйняття новелістичної спадщини письменника від прижиттєвої критики до сьогодення. Констатується,що попри широкий інтерес до постаті В. Фолкнера та його художньо-естетичного доробку існує помітний дефіцит робіт узагальнюючого плану щодо новелістичної поетики автора.
The article is dedicated to the research of the phenomenon of Faulkner’s short fiction as an object of scientific discourse. The leading tendencies in contemporary and modern critical reception of the author’s short stories are traced and analyzed. It is also stated that in spite of the great interest to artist himself and his literary heritage peculiarly there is a gap in the field of general studies of the author’s short stories poetics.
