dc.description.abstractThe authors substantiate the relevance of rational use of resources and environmental protection. The main components that need to be implemented in order to rationally use natural resources, ensure energy efficiency and protect the environment are characterized. The importance of scientifically based use of natural resources and compliance with environmental requirements when using natural resources in economic turnover in all sectors of the economy is described; reducing emissions of pollutants in the context of all sectors and sectors of the economy, in particular, in energy, transport, which are characterized by the largest CO2 emissions, is substantiated. The importance of implementing effective tools, models, mechanisms for rational use of resources and environmental protection, in particular, the circular economy as an environmentally appropriate model for rational use of resources, is substantiated. Attention is focused on the significant role of state / international regulation, monitoring, control in environmental conservation and rational use of resources, as well as the implementation of environmental programs, educational activities, and the promotion of an ecological lifestyle.
