dc.descriptionTovaronyms are considered to be artificial onyms related to material sphere of human life naming a certain production, i.e. an object intended for trade or exchange. Proper names of material objects play special role in nomination process a significant changes have been observed in the structure related to the increase of the number of nominations competing with each other. It is this fact that gives reason to activate more global research and pragmatonyms as a whole, and, namely, tovaronyms that are considered to be artificial onyms related to material sphere of human life naming a certain production, i.e. an object intended for trade or exchange. In Ukraine, linguists started to research names of machines and devices only in ХХІ Century, analyzing them simultaneously with studios focusing on other categories of propriatives. Lack of such studios in native linguistics and possibility to reveal certain aspects of contemporary name. These propriatives include proper names of audio- and video appliances, means of transportation, computeronim, and so called service machines. The audio and video appliances includes the names of tape recorders, radios, video cameras, video players, mobile phones, TVs, cameras. The proper names of transportation are the names cars, military cars, mopeds, bicycles, ships, trains, planes. The computeronim are custom device names for the automatic information processing process. There are names of laptops, printers, scanners. The proper names for air grills, irons, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, juicers, refrigerators, electric kettles, multicookers, toasters, hairdryers this are service machines. At the same time thus, machine-onyms must be formed and must function by the standards of actual Ukrainian language, which stipulates the need for their standardization and codification.uk_UA

Серед товаронімів особлива увага звернена на термінопозначення найменувань транспортних засобів; пристроїв електронної обробки інформації; власних назв побутових приладів, що використовують для полегшення насамперед домашніх робіт та номінації апаратів, пов’язаних із передачею звуку і зображення.uk_UA
