Анотація
На основі текстів українських грамот XIV ст. досліджено явище лабіалізації
етимологічного і секундарного звука e > o у позиції після шиплячих приголосних та ц, зʼясовано
причини і наслідки переходу голосного e в o у розвитку української літературно-писемної
системи, визначено територіальні та хронологічні межі репрезентованих змін. Засвідчено, що
паралельне використання голосних е та о після шиплячих і ц викликало значну кількість
варіативних написань іменних частин мови (женою – жоною, гостинцемъ – гостинцомъ, ничего –
ничого, нашего – нашого, божьего – божого, четыриста – чотыриста) та дієслівних форм
(вышелъ – вышолъ, пришедши – пришодъши). Окреслено ареали виразної тенденції до зміни е > о –
Волинь і суміжні північні території, зафіксовано периферійні зони явища – Буковину й
Галичину. За результатами спостережень установлено, що з розвитком фонетичної системи
вияви переходу голосного e в o посилювалися і сформували одну із характерних ознак української
мови.
The phenomenon of labialization of etymological and secondary е > о in the position after sibilant consonants and «ц» (ts) is investigated on the material of Ukrainian XIV century records. Causes and effects of transformation е into о in the development context of Ukrainian literature-writing system are clarified. Also, territorial and chronological limits of represented changes are determined. The parallel use of vowels е > о after sibilant consonants and «ц» (ts) caused significant amount of differences in writing nominal parts of speech (женою – жоною, гостинцемъ – гостинцомъ, ничего – ничого, нашего – нашого, божьего – божого, четыриста – чотыриста) and verb forms (вышелъ – вышолъ, пришедши – пришодъши). The area of distinct trend of changing е > о – Volyn and neighboring northern areas is mentioned, peripheral zones of phenomenon – Bukovyna and Halychyna are determined. The results of observation showed that with the development of phonetic system, demonstration of transition vowel e into o amplified and formed one of the distinctive features of Ukrainian language.
