Анотація
Стаття присвячена проблемам формування перекладацької компетенції у професійній підготовці майбутнього перекладача. Акцентовано увагу на визначенні перекладацької компетенції, розглядаються її структура, зміст та специфіка. Автор визначає основні навички та уміння, якими має оволодіти студент в процесі формування професійної перекладацької компетенції, а також розглядає питання, пов’язані з навчанням різних видів усного та письмового перекладу.
The article is devoted to the problems of formation of translation and interpreting competence in professional training of future translators /interpreters. The article gives a definition of competence, analyses its structure, content and specific character. It investigates the methodological preconditions for interpreting and translation competence formation with regard to professional requirements. The author defines the key skills and abilities student has to acquire in the process of professional competence formation. Translation is a difficult skill which must be done well in order to be productive and rewarding. Learners and teachers not only have to take into account meaning but also a range of other issues, including form, register, style, and idiom. This is not easy, but too many translation activities rely on it being done well. The author examines issues related to the teaching of various types of oral and written translation. The author finds out that there is a number of important differences between oral consecutive and written translation, and therefore the method of their training differs substantially.
