Анотація
Стаття присвячена ролі фоностилістичних засобів у створенні прийому висунення у художніх текстах. Фоностилістичні засоби, зокрема звукові повтори, стають проявом кількісного аспекту висунення. Звукові повтори функціонують у складі стилістичних конвергенцій, які є найбільш виразним типом висунення. Взаємодія метафор і звукових повторів у конвергенціях у сильних позиціях сприяє тому, що метафори набувають концептуального характеру ПРИРОДА – ЦЕ ЛЮДИНА. Адекватним і вдалим переклад метафоричних одиниць, що базуються на звукових повторах, може бути за допомогою двох основних прийомів: передачі звукового повтору тим самим звуком або заміни іншим видом звукового повтору (алітерація – асонанс).
The article deals with the role of phonostylistic devices in creating the device of foregrounding in literary texts. It is stated that phonostylistic devices, especially sound repetitions, represent the quantitative aspect of foregrounding (G. Leech). Especially important role belongs to sound repetitions used in stylistic convergences. Stylistic convergences are considered to be the most pragmatically meaningful and significant types of foregrounding. In the analyzed texts by L. Carroll, K. Chopin, D. Thomas mainly two-component convergence function which contain extended tropes (metaphors, similes) and sound repetitions. It is stated in the article that the authors use language units with sound repetition as components of extended metaphors. Alliterations create certain semantic unity between the subject and object of metaphors (mist – mother) and become sound metaphors. Due to the functioning in stylistic convergences, metaphors in the short stories by D. Thomas and K. Chopin acquire a conceptual character: NATURE IS A HUMAN BEING. In the article two major devices of translating the language units with sound repetitions are singled out: rendering with the help of the same sound or substitution by another phonostylistic device (alliteration – assonance).
