dc.description.abstractThe results of the analysis of professionally important qualities that determine the level of professional adaptability of an economist in the language aspect showed the growing role of a foreign language in their formation and improvement. In this regard, it is necessary for us to dwell in more detail on a comprehensive analysis of the system of measures for the step-by-step formation of the professional skills of a future economist in foreign language classes in economic educational institutions. At the same time, one cannot fail to note the fact that the possibilities of a foreign language are most fully manifested in the course of professional adaptation - the initial stage of the professional formation of an economist. This is due to a number of factors, which include, on the one hand, the objective tasks of a foreign language course in a higher educational institution, which reflect the programmatic requirements for the organization of the educational process, its content aspect, and on the other hand, the level of competence of the foreign language teacher (as a result of professional self-improvement), the problem of which was devoted to one of the subsections of our study. Thus, it is possible to formulate an assumption that the quality of training of an economist is conditioned by the availability of methodological support that meets the goals of a specific stage of professional formation (including professional adaptation), as well as the teacher's understanding of the goals and objectives of each level of professional adaptation.uk_UA
