Анотація
In the article the term "gamification" is defined; the requirements for the introduction of game techniques are outlined; the issue of introducing gamification in a non-game environment in order to develop students' motivation to learn English is considered; the tools that should be used in teaching English are characterized. It is proved that the use of game techniques for educational purposes can positively affect the effectiveness of teaching English to students.
